Author : Olivier DetrazWhen it can go wrong it will go wrong! There is a lot of truth in Murphy’s law yet I was a little lucky I just had an absurd situation at the airport when I lost the car key on the curb after a friend dropped us at the international airport in Los Angeles, CA to catch a flight to Europe

I just had the most embarrassing experience at LAX airport last early September A friend dropped me up at the airport As we were on the curb saying goodbye and picking up our luggage we lost the car key And I know this may sound insane as it happened in a few seconds from the time we stopped the car to the moment we opened the trunk Yes, this is one of these absurd stories Could be one for Mr Bean! I always thought those stories only happen to other people and hey, voila! One thing really helped me, the AAA card A quick call, and AAA arrived within the next 10 minutes The only drawback is for my ride to the airport, a beautiful young friend who was already dressed up to go out Since we did not have another car key, she had to be accompanied by a filthy tow truck driver home , Faux pas! Oops! The driver was happy though!

The check-in hostesses were not really helpful in our adventure but we finally made it to the check-in counter While this was happening some travelers helped us go though our stuff, suitcases and pockets (well not really everywhere but they told us to double check here and there) I was stunned how people empathized I guess it is one of those situations that you wish will never happen And it did! And I hope it will never happen again

Anyway, for the first time I was happy to be at the airport ahead of time Except for the police who were a little intrigued and left us alone, the airline staff forgot the true meaning of "service" as they were almost threating us as a enemy You always do something wrong Immigration Officers are being even nicer than airline hostesses on the ground these days Airlines charge you for peanuts these days as United will start charging food on their international travelers So not only you are stuck on a plane for 7 to 10 hours going overseas but if you do not have your doggy bag, tough luck! And if it’s too heavy they might even tell you not to bring it on board

So you are totally right Jerry, "Service is all gone now" from passenger check-in, to passport control and finally on airplanes comfort are not part of the trip Especially if you travel coach! (Read an article by Jerry Waxman)

Let’s look at the bright side though You can still enjoy free movies on international flights I kind of like that, cause how many of those are we waiting to see when they come out on video?

At the end of our journey we unpacked and guess what we found the key Don’t ask me how it got in the suitcase but it did Magic! Thanks to our pretty friend and our filthy tow truck driver who arrived earlier than expecred we made it and he saved the day Many things could have gone wrong and it could have ended a lot worse

Anyway bon voyage and see you soon Famous French Musician French pop Songs

Author : Diana EnnenWant to get the most media attention and spotlight for your business? Then the first place to start is with a great press release Now I can almost see half of you leaving now, dreading the thought of having to write one of these But wait I’m going to show you easy methods to make your press release work for you and get the attention it deserves Ready? Let’s go

We’ll briefly go over the basics because of their importance Editors want to see things done the RIGHT way I would bet that a lot of good releases simply get tossed out just because they aren’t set up properly To a busy editor, that all too familiar three-second glance says a lot for you and your business and if you’ve done your research enough to warrant that release to be placed in their newspaper or magazine or even on their website

Here are your essentials:

“FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE” on the top left of the page
Your contact name, phone number, e-mail address, and website follows Double check this No, triple check this You don’t want to waste a good release because they can’t get ahold of you

The headline is next, normally in bold and centered on the page Summarize what the release is about and capture their attention Spend almost as much time on your headline as you do writing the release It’s that important Make sure to get those valuable keywords in there and hopefully in the first few words

The press release body starts with the location of the release and the date (Margate, Florida, January, 200X )

Most press releases are between 400-500 words, and no more than a page The first paragraph has the most important information Don’t save the best for last, it won’t get read Make sure that you explain the title of the release in this first paragraph

It is recommended that you write press releases in the 3rd person and use short sentences and paragraphs Do not go over board, trying to dazzle the editor, it won’t work
Target your release You will be sending your release to a specific audience so make sure that in your release you keep to what would appeal to that audience What don’t they know that you can add? Nothing works better than getting an "AAH HAA" when an editor is reviewing your release Also, keep in mind with the Internet today, that press releases, or news releases as they are now frequently called, are read by your target audience just as much as the editors The buyers of your products or services are reading this, tell them what they need to know

Provide statistics Do some research and find some relevant information that applies Research and make sure that if you are providing accurate quotes and not from some fly by night company Remember your reputation is riding on this release (Well, not exactly, but you don’t want the editor to read this and red flag you )
Provide a quote from yourself or include relevant quotes from experts in your field that will reinforce what you are saying Approach authors, leaders in your Industry, and other experts in your Industry They will normally appreciate the added publicity and you get the quote you’re looking for For example, as an author I’ll often get asked to provide a quote for an article on home-based businesses or the virtual assistant industry I welcome the opportunity as it provides me more publicity

The last paragraph should be your call to action You’ve talked the whole release about your business or product, now tell them what to do with this knowledge they just got Too many leave out this vital step
At the bottom of the release include ### to indicate you are done

Double check this for accuracy At this point, you’re tired and done with the Release Well if it goes out to the world with the wrong web address, you’ve wasted your valuable time even writing the Release

That’s it The basics for writing a press release Now one other thing I’d like to add in, they work They truly do You also want to make sure that you submit them out, but that’s another article

Author : Jeff CasmerCopywriters love benefits They know that no matter how attention grabbing a headline is, it is ultimately the benefits that lead to a sale and earning money Benefits are motivators They help you to see whats in it for you and how your life can improve When setting a goal, focusing on the benefits can keep you ambitious and help you succeed

However, in order for benefits to truly help you achieve your goals and earning money you have to in grave them in your head, so you are constantly reminded of what you are working towards The more your mind accepts something the easier it is to do

The way we think shapes they way we act If you think in negative terms you act negatively For example, if you wake each morning thinking this internet business is not working because I am not earning money or Im not good at this and I dont want to do this, your programming your brain for failure Chances are you wont do the work required and if you do, its because you are forcing yourself to Thus, you are actually resisting the free energy flow of success It takes you twice as long with twice as much effort to complete the task

But by thinking positively you train your mind to tell your body to act positively Even if you dont feel like working, you will, not because of force but because something inside of you wants to Since most humans cant just suddenly be positive, especially when they are fearful or un-ambitious you need some type of motivator, hence the benefits

Sure, you may not want to do the task but if you stop and think of the benefits of doing it youre giving yourself positive motivation to do it To make this easier, do what copywriters do write it down

By writing down all the benefits you can think of you not only reinforce that facts in the actual act of writing it down but you have a physical reminder that you can use to ingrain them into your head

For example, perhaps you dislike going through your email, but you know it has to be done Instead of grumbling about it, take a moment to write the benefits of reading your email such as

1 Doing so will help clear my inbox

2 I may have some important messages that will help my career, or a nice note from a friend

3 I will feel less anxious after I am done which will help me concentrate on other tasks

When you start to think negatively look back at the benefits to help you get positive energy flowing through you Feeling positive makes it easier to things even when we dont like them

Writing down benefits works for long term goals as well Many people dont achieve their goal because they cant hold a positive image in their head long enough to help them complete the steps to achieve the goal

They can see it initially when they think of the goal, but after a week or so the image starts to fade For instance, when you first started your online business you were bursting with enthusiasm and had a picture in your head of how life would be when you are successful and earning money

How long did it take for the picture to fade and the excitement to become diluted? For the average person it only takes 2 weeks Just two week for negative thinking to set in But if you write down your goals in a benefit driven manner you are less likely to enter that dark phase and start earning money

Thus your goal would look something like this

I want to start an internet business (thats the goal)

The Benefits:

It will give me an opportunity to help others

It allows me a flexible lifestyle

I get to learn something new everyday

It offers me a more satisfying way to reach my financial goals

You dont have to get as wordy as some copywriters are, just write down the benefits of the goals you have in a way that will encourage you

Benefits arent just a fancy technique used by marketers to earn money, you can apply them to your life to help create a positive outlook on the things you want to achieve, thus creating focus and ultimately success

Author : Nelson TanWriting an effective web copy begins with an understanding of what the goals of your website are Are you trying to get your visitors to purchase something or have them sign up for your newsletter? Remember you are trying to get someone whom you can’t see and have never met take a step towards building a relationship with you or your company

1 Create a customer profile—Who is exactly your target audience?

Are they young, middle aged or senior?
Are they primarily male or female?
Are they financially secure or budget-minded?
What gets him or her excited?
What are his or her most pressing concerns?

2 Create a Unique Selling Position (USP)—Find out what are the needs and desires of your visitors Brainstorm a list of topics that might interest your target audience Then based on these evidences, propose a statement of 2 - 3 sentences that explains why you are different from everybody else This is the unique factor that sets you apart from your competition Make this the first thing your visitor sees when they arrive on your home page

3 Focus on benefits—Most web users want to find the information about the product or service they need as fast as possible If they land on your site, they want to know how they will benefit from buying your product or subscribing to your e-zine You will need to answer that question as clearly and concisely as possible or you will lose that visitor

4 Use headlines—Provide a summary of your information by clearly communicating the main purpose of your copy Use informative headings and subheadings with a paragraph of 4 - 5 lines that supports them You only have a few seconds to grab your visitors’ attention Most will simply scan for the information they are seeking

5 Use bulleted or numbered lists, boldface or colored font to emphasize the points you wish to make

6 Include links within the text to direct visitors to other pages of your site for more in-depth information Effective navigation also helps visitors easily find the main sections of your site

7 Write in an informal or personal style—It is your own unique way of differentiating your presence from other small businesses in a similar niche It doesn’t have to be too elaborate or super-creative You simply provide a style that gets the attention of your visitors

8 Keep your sentences simple—You are not writing to impress You are writing to communicate Make it easy for a 13-year-old to understand why you want to sell your product or service

Don’t use large words but opt for strong verbs over weak ones Use the active voice instead of a passive one, i e instead of “a good score was achieved by the team” say “the team scored a season high” Speak “to” but not “at” your visitor Keep your sentences short and snappy Sometimes straight-forwardness is all it takes to bring results in the shortest time

9 Include searchable keywords—Use targeted keywords in your web copy that will allow the search engines to find your site Include these keywords in your meta tags, links and file names

10 Eliminate the fluff—Don’t waffle on in your writing You will only bore your visitors and they will click elsewhere Try to remove filler sentences that contain phrases like “for those of you” and “all of you”

11 Proof-read your web copy—Errors in your web copy give the impression of being unprofessional or sloppy Read the copy aloud to yourself or get someone else to proof-read it Often they will find more errors because they are more objective

Use the spell checker but don’t rely on it Often it doesn’t pick up grammatical or vocabulary errors Print a copy of your content It’s easier to find such errors on a hard copy this way

12 Take a break—Revise your web copy after taking a break from it for several hours or a few days This allows you to see it from a different viewpoint You may find a better way to say something to further improve your copy

13 Use images sparingly—Images should only be used if they relate and support your web content If not, they will only distract the visitor from reading your web copy Too many images will slow down the time it takes for your visitor to load your site in their browser

Writing an effective web copy is the key to converting visitors into buyers Getting thousands of visitors to your website doesn’t guarantee sales The types of words you use and how you combine and string them together is absolutely crucial to pressing the hot buttons of someone who would finally say, “Yes, I MUST get it!” Once you achieve this, your website will become very profitable Nelson Tan is the webmaster behind Internet Mastery Center. Author : Brad McGovernAre you tired of feeling invisible to the search engines? Don’t feel alone The sea of thousands, perhaps millions of competitors in your niche market make it difficult for even the big dogs to compete at times It’s very discouraging for small business owners when faced with this reality

You know it’s possible to succeed online because you see it all around you But the question remains How did they do it?

Maybe you have achieved a modicum of success and are ready to grow your business now You know what must happen for that growth to occur There must be a continuous stream of laser-targeted, pre-sold traffic beating a path to your website’s door Knowing what must take place and making it happen are two very different animals It’s time to go back to school

You read this eBook, watch that video and listen to those webinars offered up by self-proclaimed wizards that crowd the Internet with solutions You earn certificates of training from eCourses, join all the hot membership sites and even attend seminars and lectures off-line You invest blood, sweat and a boatload of money in expensive software to complement your internet marketing education

You’ve reached the top of the learning ladder You take all of this information, with accompanying gadgets, and put it into action It sputters and clacks a bit but nothing much happens It’s creaking along and somehow won’t gain momentum How can this be?

The answer is not all that difficult to see in retrospect You reached the top of the learning ladder, but your ladder was leaned against the wrong wall The majority of stuff you learned and bought is marginal at best and useless at its worst It simply doesn’t work for a variety of reasons: poorly conceived or outdated are the two most common

You only have two choices really: quit or start over It’s pretty disheartening; been there, done that, have the tee-shirt to prove it If this sounds all too familiar to you, relax There is a simple answer to the situation and you’ll be astounded to see how easy it is to implement

Ask any great athlete what took them to the level they are today and almost all of them tell you the same thing They mastered the fundamental skills and learned consistency of performance Internet marketing is no different If you master the basic skills and do the right things over and over again, you are almost certain to succeed

One of the most important basic skills all internet marketers must know is article marketing It’s been around since the 15th century, so that should win it a vote of confidence It works; always has, always will It’s a core skill that all internet marketers must master

Article market has 4 key elements to make it successful:

* Meet the Publisher’s Guidelines
* Dive Deep and Go Wide
* Submit Over Time
* Track You Submissions

Meet the Publisher’s Guidelines

Publishers on the Internet have a certain set of criteria they require an article to follow to be published on their sites Try to meet as broad a spectrum of publishers as possible with your article Determine what the allowable rates of submissions are with these different entities Many publishers also have minimum-maximum lengths for articles

Dive Deep and Go Wide

Ensure your articles are distributed to as many places as possible and in as many categories as your topic allows This may prove to be a daunting task if you are submitting articles by hand Also make sure you keep your list current Submit to as many publishers as your time and pocket book allow

Submit Over Time

You don’t want to be hit-or-miss with distributions See to it that you submit articles regularly and in the correct quantities Understand going in that article marking is a long-term commitment and must be done consistently for optimum effect

Track You Submissions

It is an excellent practice to keep tabs on where you article is picked up and published It’s not a bad idea to visit several of these sites publication and give the Webmaster a thank you for publishing your article

Make it even easier by using a good, quality distribution service They’ll review your article for errors and kick it back to you for repairs before they distribute it Your better services have lists of thousands hungry publisher to send your article to for publication

Find a service that allows you to do mass submissions at once and releases them over time on a schedule you choose It’s also a good idea to track your articles to see who and where they are being read by

You may virtually put your article marketing campaigns on auto-pilot if you hire the writing done by a professional writing service and submit your articles to a top-shelf distribution service The choice is up to you

If you do these 4 fundamental key practices, you’ll be surprised how quickly your backlinks grow Just remember, along with all those one way links comes higher search engine ranking and highly targeted traffic It doesn’t get much easier or better than that Brad McGovern is the Marketing Manager at Article Marketer, and offers advice and news of note to article marketers. Author : Tiva KellyAffiliate marketing is a business undertaking that involves wearing many hats One day you’re studying to learn more about the products you sell The next day you find yourself sprucing up your web page design Then there’s the words you must write to promote your affiliate products

Writing to promote your business means writing in many styles You will write in different voices You will write copy of different lengths; some involved discourse; some short and snappy It all depends on the promotional initiative you are involved with currently

If you’re new to affiliate marketing, it’s wise to start with the ABCs of web writing By ABCs, we’re talking about writing across different platforms Yes, there are the DEFs and so on to consider too However, today we will look at Ads, Blogs, and Content as applies to articles The following is a quick overview of what to focus on in each discipline:

Ads

Advertisements are your vehicle to promote your affiliate products concisely They are typically short bursts of information designed to grab your niche market’s attention The goal of a good ad is to inspire the reader to action The following tips will help your ad writing connect with your audience:

* Have an effective headline stating a product benefit This could be something as simple as “The Number One Omega-3 Product for Lowering Cholesterol ” This immediately tells the reader what the ad is about and why the product will benefit them

* Don’t write for yourself; write for your potential customer Think of their wants and needs and speak directly to them in clear precise language Don’t write from a selfish point of view Write to give information to your audience, while at the same time encouraging them to act

* Use customer testimonials in your copy This can be short comments by customers describing how a product helped them

* Place an incentive in your ad Describe the incentive appropriately This could be a coupon code that a customer later inputs This could be for a product discount on your website

* Write persuasive body copy Again, you want your audience to take action and order from you Give them quality information that tells them why they should

Blogs

With your blog writing, adapt a more conversational tone designed to encourage reader comments Your blog is a platform to keep your niche market current on topics related to your affiliate products Invite them to be active participants in your blog community

Use a blog to educate and entertain your readers With vibrant, informative writing, you build credibility as an Internet marketer You subsequently encourage linking back to your website where you can begin the selling process A blog is a vehicle to engage in pre-selling your target market

Vary the length and scope of your blog posts This adds variety to the blog You do not want the blog to appear as a rambling string of long dry posts of the same length every day Make some posts light and breezy in tone Make some posts detailed product reviews Just remember to write a minimum of three times a week for your blog

Content (For Articles)

Article writing for your article marketing initiatives is your meat and potatoes writing This writing really lets your affiliate product expertise shine In depth, well-researched articles that give useful information to readers pay great dividends

First, you can present a lot of information in an article You have the freedom to expound on a topic more than you do with ad writing Second, you present information without the hyped-up sales language Readers do not feel that you are pressuring them to buy with article writing This is your chance to build the trust factor with them When they are comfortable with you, they will often link back to your website

Engage in quality article writing and then plan an article promotion campaign Use this type of content to build further your credibility as an affiliate marketer In addition, don’t forget to choose a good article distribution service to get that content to a broad spectrum of Internet publishers

Learn the ABCs of web writing to promote your affiliate business Once you are proficient, move on to other platforms Learn to write effectively for some of them as well This could be Direct Mail, E-Newsletters, and Forum posting, and so on down the alphabet Words are crucial to helping your target market understand you and your affiliate products better Tiva Kelly is the Head of Article Coaching and offers advice to authors at
